Contact AFNOR Certification and corresponding structures mentioned on the ADHERENCE TO THE PROCESS section of the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline aligncenter is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-primary-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ports-propres.org\/en\/adhere-to-the-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> adherence to the process. <\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>The request for certification is at the initiative of the port manager. <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">The audit leading to certification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the marina is engaged in the Clean Harbours process, the diagnostic study carried out, the infrastructures completed, the signage in place, the training program for port staff arranged and the boaters\u2019 awareness plan started, what is there still to do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>The manager may be a candidate for the  international standard \u201cISO 18725 &#8220;Clean Harbours\u201d, <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the AFNOR certification website to find out about the procedures, the different stages of application, the documents required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline aligncenter is-style-outline--2\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-primary-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/certification.afnor.org\/environnement\/certification-afaq-ports-propres-ports-actifs-biodiversite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> AFNOR WEBSITE<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the day of the audit leading to the certification, the auditor will check whether the port responds favorably to the criteria set out in standard ISO 18725\u00a0: &#8220;Clean Harbours&#8221; . \u00a0An external control plan can be downloaded from the AFNOR website. Its purpose is to define the procedures for granting and maintaining certification. It thus describes the certification stages and the control methods used by AFNOR Certification for carrying out audits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Clean Harbours Guide in France gives details about the audit leading to Certification. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Obtaining certification <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the auditor\u2019s report, the certification decision is made by an AFNOR technical committee. The certification is issued for a period of 3 years with maintenance audits taking place every year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Communication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When the port is certified as a \u00ab&nbsp;Clean Harbour\u00bb, a communication kit (pavilion, city entrance sign, yachtsman\u2019s booklet, etc), highlighting the certification is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur and Principality of Monaco area, contact the Union-des Ports-de- Plaisance de Provence-Alpes- C\u00f4te-d\u2019Azur et Monaco to know how to obtain the communication kit. The ports of Brittany, Corsica, Hauts de France and Occitanie are invited to contact their regional unions of marinas and CPIE\u2019s. For other territories, contact the nearest Union of marinas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The logo below indicates that a port is certified as a Clean Harbour. It bears the words \u00ab&nbsp;certified by AFNOR Certification&nbsp;\u00bb. For example, the impossibility of applying for Clean Harbours. It is possible to find the old \u00ab&nbsp;Certified&nbsp;\u00bb Clean Habours logo in ports (logo below). It remains valid.
